The tour includes a visit to some of the UNESCO monuments of Ravenna. I will tell you about the historic events and characters represented in the early christian mosaics.
In late antiquity Ravenna was capital three times and this determined the history of the city, leaving a deep mark in the surviving monuments. The atmosphere that certain environments, lights and colors still give us today is extraordinary.
During the visit we will be hosted at one of the several mosaic studios in downtown Ravenna, where the mosaic techniques and materials will be shown.
